Stonesoul

Fantasy Querying

Granite would rather meditate than fight, but humans keep trying to enslave him. As a giant stone golem, Granite helps guard the Stoneheart, which shackles all golems to whomever wields its power. For five thousand years, the golems have protected their community from humanity's repeated attempts to claim the artifact. When Neshi comes for it, Granite expects another routine defense.

It is anything but routine. The other golems remain strangely inanimate, leaving Granite alone to face the thief. He grows desperate.

Neshi is desperate, too. Her kingdom is losing a war. The golem army could keep her family safe and her people free. Granite doesn't want to fight—for Neshi or anybody else—but if he can't stop her from activating the Stoneheart, he won't have a choice.

Ramses and the Case of the Mole Rot

Fantasy · Mystery Querying

In Bastion, giants and humans live side by side, though Ramses rarely needed to leave the human districts. That is, until the city became infected with the Mole Rot. This new disease kills humans frighteningly quickly, giving apothecaries like Ramses little time to test potential remedies on living subjects. It seems hopeless, until for the first time, a giant contracts the disease. The giant has the same symptoms as humans, but the disease progresses more slowly through their much larger bodies. This is the opportunity Ramses has been waiting for. Finally, he has a chance study the disease and find a cure. But his quest will take him to unexpected places: giant districts, political arenas, and the sewers of Bastion where bear-sized rats infest the tunnels. With his family and the city at stake, Ramses will brave it all to solve the mystery of the Mole Rot.
